SET Ixworth is an oversubscribed, ambitious school.  Our commitment is to providing an inspiring and enriching educational experience.

At Ixworth, we take a holistic approach to the curriculum, ensuring that the academic development of our students is complemented by a wide ranging creative focus as well as a bespoke enrichment curriculum. This allows us to cater for each child’s individual needs and talents, promoting a well-rounded individual.

We recognise the importance of cultural capital and strive to provide our students with a diverse and immersive learning environment. Through a rich and varied curriculum, we aim to broaden their horizons and instil an appreciation for different cultures and traditions.  Our students leave us with an appreciation of the world around them, ready to make a positive contribution to society.

We are searching for an enthusiastic and successful language teacher who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead a department of their own.  The successful candidate will be able to evidence a variety of methods to successfully engage students in the learning of languages as well as having a track record of positive student outcomes. You will have a clear vision of a successful languages department as well as being able to evidence your ability to manage both yourself and others.  Support will be available from a team of professionals from within the trust as well as the school itself, ensuring the languages department is able to consistently deliver high student outcomes.  Many of our students study French up to GCSE level with a number of former students studying languages at A-Level in the local area once they leave us at 16.
