Hours: 8.00am – 4.30pm, 37.5 hours per week, 36.1 weeks per annum

Salary: £19,435 FTE

An opportunity has risen for an experienced and inspirational individual to join SET Ixworth School as a Cover Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, planning, and arranging cover; working closely with the Assistant Headteacher and Teachers of the school.

As part of your responsibilities you will be expected to undertake the cover of lessons; supporting students with pre-set work and ensuring students are clear about the task required.

You will use the school MIS system to track, record and generate reports that will be disseminated to the senior team on all periods of cover. Therefore, strong computer skills in all Microsoft applications are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a PE background and / or wish to train as a PE teacher in the future. Along with excellent communication, organising and time management skills; an adaptable and flexible approach in identifying new and better ways to meet organisational aims; and the ability to exhibit initiative and adaptability.
