Former student’s University of Cambridge success

SET Saxmundham School was very proud to hear from East Coast College in Lowestoft recently; they contacted us to let us know one of our Alumni, Carrie-Ann, has done incredibly well and been offered a place to study Medicine at the University of Cambridge.

Carrie Ann achieved a grade 9 in Maths at GCSE and Grade 8 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics during her time at SET Saxmundham School. Michael Connell-Smith, Assistant Head of School said “We at SET Saxmundham School are incredibly proud of Carrie-Ann’s achievement in being offered a place at Cambridge University to study medicine. I personally remember fondly our Triple Science lessons with Carrie-Ann. Her determination to always work hard and continually improve was an inspiration to all. I look forward to hearing of her future successes.”

Since leaving SET Saxmundham School in 2019, Carrie-Ann has been studying A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at East Coast College.  She has just been offered a place at Cambridge University to read Medicine and her future aspiration is to work in Paediatrics.

At SET Saxmundham School we are keen to follow the progress of all of our ex-students and are so pleased when we get an update such as Carrie-Ann’s and we wish her the very best for the future.
